Carol Shemeri

Carol Shemeri is a Program Officer under the National Advocacy Department at CEDOVIP, based in Kampala. The National Advocacy Department seeks to inspire policy makers to reform, implement and enact VAWG responsive laws and policies so as to enhance access to justice for women and girls.
Carol is a Feminist and a passionate human’s rights lawyer with extensive experience in designing, implementing and managing legal aid projects aimed at addressing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in different parts of Uganda. Carol does not only possess a good grasp of law and practice in Uganda but also an excellent track record in litigating and mediating VAWG cases, mobilizing and facilitating dialogue on VAWG with communities, local leaders and public justice system actors.
