Following the recent release of the GBV readiness report by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization which recommended that government institutions work with civil society to strengthen health sector response to VAW, CEDOVIP will be collaborating with Kampala Capital City Authority through its Directorate of Public Health and Environment to integrate VAW in existing health services.

Three health facilities of Kiswa, Komamboga and Kisugu will participate in this partnership which will involve training of health care workers, and supporting the health professionals to implement key VAW protocols such as the Domestic Violence Act, the National Guidelines for HIV Post Exposure Prophylaxis among others.
