As the International Day to End FGM approaches (6th Feb 2020), The theme this year is “No Time for Global Inaction: Unite, Fund and Act to End Female Genital Mutilation.“
The conduct of Female Genital Mutilation is usually carried out secretly here in Uganda in spite of the laws and policies set up. At least 200 million girls alive today have undergone female genital mutilation.
More has to be done, at least 10 times faster to meet the global target of elimination by 2030. Join us as we fight to put an end to this harmful practice.
